After spending few days in Bandung..Oh boy! I realised betapa nikmatnya makanan di tempat sendiri. Especially breakfast, nothing can beat Malaysia. Baru 4 hari, aduuhhh... gue kangen bangat sama nasi lemak lah, roti telur lah ... dengan the spicy and mouth watering kueh mueh dan mcm2 lagi lah. Agaknya orang2 Bandung ni tak gemar breakfast di luar bersama family kut.

In Malaysia, stalls, restaurant..berlambak..bayangkan lah in one housing area ada berpuluh tempat makan. Hardly to find it at Bandung except the fast food restaurant. Imagine my breakfast is dunkin doughnut, KFC. what the heck... Ya Allah geli tekak. Tapi itulah kenyataannya. Mungkin mamak pun tak boleh hidup kat sana. Mee Bandung and Sirap Bandung tak pernah
wujud apatah lagi teh tarik, kopi susu, nescafe ke..teh botol itu lah minuman nya. Aiyoo... I'm dead..
Kat sini an open space hawker sell almost any type of local delicacies, everybody simply sit and eat tapi bukan makanan kereta sorong tepi2 jalan kat Bandung. Orang kata, kalau tak kena gaya boleh dapat food poisoning.

Dinner @ Dapur Ku
Arrived at Bandung at 8 pm, after getting to know 'Pak Sam' our supir, So off we went for dinner. He took us to Sundanese Restaurant 'Dapur Ku'... We got to choose whatever DSC00166
we want, then pay at the counter. Makanan sunda sume very dry, kebanyakan goreng and bakar. So aku pilih ayam bakar which is their specialty and ikan gurame goreng. Tempe and tauhu goreng as well as soup. It is designed in a typical Indonesian style with lots of brown theme to represe

nt wood and basket weaving. At Dapur Ku ada live music tapi during weekend. So, kitaorang berkesempatan to requesta song'ST12 - Biarkan Aku Jatuh Cinta"to their residence artist. Confirm sedap suara mamat sunda tu.

Lunch @ Simpang Raya
The next place we went to wasSimpang Raya restaurant. Wanted to go to outdoor restaurant yang famous di Bandung ' Kampung Daun' tapi time constraint. They would lay out 20 over dishes on the table for us straightaway. If we touch and eat, we pay. If not, just leave it. Of course, orders of more of the same dish are welcomed! Masakan minang - pedas dan berkuah withfree flowgreen tea. Minuman asasi agaknya.

To methe nasi padang there is very delicious except some of the dishes were too salty. Minuman juz dia, especially juz jeruk (orange), wartel (carrot) and tomat (tomato) pekat, juicy and autentic gitu.

But if you happen to be at Pasar Baru during lunch time, do drop at their food court on the 6th floor and their food equally tasty and cheaper. Look for "Layang Sari" as they served Sundanese food. So, I've tried and tested. Not bad though..I loike...

Kacang Bandung and Brownies


Ground Floor Pasar Baru segala jenis kerepek, kekacang dan dodol berbagai perasa untuk di bawa pulang. Nasihat akak, Jangan lupa membeli 'kacang bandung' confirm crispy and crunchy..samosa, popia gulung bilis dan mcm2 lagi.



At Kartika Sari, brownies almond and choc chips menjadi pilihan sekeluarga. Moist and chewy. Kurang berkenan pulak dengan steam brownies.
So that's all for our Bandung trip. I think it's really not a bad place to visit if you have a local to bring you around or at least a personal driver to drive you to the various places and could recommend the good stuffs there.
